Living in a Light-Community is about giving of oneself and giving oneself to others and to the group; it’s about living the aspiration of union with the Kingdoms of Nature and with God, and it’s also about living a simple life.
After all, what is so beautiful and mysterious about a simple life? Living with only what is necessary, and sometimes less than that; being faced with lack, or with little, provokes a very interesting movement in the consciousness of all of us.
It’s as if, starting from the simple, our consciousness begins to use resources that exist within it, but which have never been awakened before. And then creativity and the heart go hand in hand, because in order to meet an imminent need, without having all the ideal resources, it’s important to put love into it. It reminds us of those family scenes where our grandparents could heal a sore knee with just a touch, or cure the flu with just a cup of tea.
If we talk like this, it would seem that the simple life in the countryside and in the Light-Communities is just flowers… we’re not excluding the difficulties, but we realize that it’s from them that the real good is born.
Being faced with a bogged-down car, not having the perfect tool for a repair, not having the gate working properly, not having the kitchen utensils to prepare food for large numbers of people, etc., are not easy moments to deal with, but you find a way through everything.
From this comes the sincere gratitude of those who know the value of each thing, from the smallest to the largest, and everything becomes more alive, closer to us.
We realize, then, that learning to live with little brings us closer to God, to His simplicity, and makes us see how many resources He gives us in nature, in our minds and hearts, to overcome any challenge!
