The New Earth Light-Community, affiliated to the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF), held an Aromatherapy Workshop attended by around 20 people. The event was given by Regina Braga, an aromatherapist and specialist in various complementary therapies such as shiatsu and acupuncture.

According to the participants, the theoretical and practical study provided a comprehensive basis for those new to aromatherapy studies and covered various topics such as the healing potential of plants and their intervention in the patient’s subtle field.

Use of Essential Oils

Essential oils have gained prominence as a natural alternative for the treatment of various ailments. Each essence has unique properties that can be used to promote physical and emotional well-being.

Extracted from plants, flowers, leaves, bark and roots, each type of oil has compounds that act in different ways on the body. For example, lavender oil is known for its relaxing properties and can help reduce anxiety and promote sleep.

The choice of essence should be appropriate for each situation. For respiratory problems, such as allergies and colds, oils such as eucalyptus and peppermint can be effective. For emotional issues such as stress and depression, bergamot and rose oils are recommended. Each oil can be used on its own or in synergy with others, enhancing their effects.

Essential oil inhalation

Inhalation is one of the most common ways of using essential oils. It can be done through diffusers or simply by adding a few drops to a container of hot water. Inhalation allows the aromatic molecules to enter the respiratory system, providing relief from congestion, allergies and also helping to balance emotions.

Foot bath

Foot baths with essential oils are a relaxing and therapeutic practice. Warm water combined with a few drops of oils such as lavender or rosemary can relieve stress, improve circulation and provide a feeling of well-being. It’s a great option for those looking for a moment of self-care after a tiring day.

Application to Acupuncture Points

Aromatherapy can also be combined with acupuncture, using essential oils on specific points on the body. This enhances the therapeutic effects of both methods. This integrated approach aims to balance the body’s energy and promote faster recovery.

Aromatherapy offers a holistic approach to the treatment of various ailments, taking into account both physical and emotional aspects. Each essence, with its unique properties, can be a powerful ally in the quest for well-being and integral health.

The participants’ evaluation of the meeting was very positive, and the workshop will continue soon.
